first night in the ville nouvelle

the internet at my host parent's house is actually a sporadic signal i'm picking up from a neighbor, so most of my posts will probably be from ALIF during the week.

daylight savings starts today, which is good because it gets dark here around 7:30. the sunset tonight was absolutely beautiful, seen over the mosque outside our window, imam ali (the bells ring five times a day, the first one at 3:30 am...)

tomorrow we'll probably head to the medina and find something festive to do to celebrate, as andy pointed out, entering my third decade of life. weird..
